Just like in the movie, the breathtaking Diamond Castle playset has a gorgeous light show in the magical tower and plays a special song. This castle has lots of enchanting furnished rooms to play in with three stories of magical fun. Includes 12" Princess Liana doll and puppy. Requires 2 "AA" batteries, not included. Playset measures 32"L x 6.5"W x 16"H.

Doesn't matter what I think...4-year-old daughter loves it!

Educational value? Creativity. Durability? Not so much. However, the colors are pretty and my daughter absolutely loves this house! It didn't take too long to assemble (I think she'd argue that), but overall, I'd recommend this toy if your child is into play houses and/or barbie.
And the Price Is.....

I actually really don't care about the fun and educational values of this toy at this point any more - our four-year old wanted it and, at $69.99 or $99.99, for a short time we considered allowing it to occupy half of the play room. That was about a month ago. Needless to say, it disappeared from Target and ToysRus, and the Amazom price started to climb. br /At the current $399.99 one would have to take out some kind of Barbie mortgage to buy this playset... br /Now that real housing market has gone to dogs, are we moving into fantasy world to bankrupt that too?!
You can buy this if you shop around.

Once again, like the horse and carriage, Amazon's price is either a mistake or really high. You can purchase this at Target for $[...]. My three girlies love Barbie and the Diamond Castle and for my oldest (6) this is all she requested from Santa. She does like to play with the house, but she prefers the Pegasus and all the Barbies over the Castle.

We got this for our 3year old and 16month old daughters (they got the WHOLE set for Christmas) Overall, it's really cute-the very top floor is kinda pointless, but the other two floors are large enough to play on. I would have never paid $200/$300 for this- we got it with the accessories, Liana (NOT SINGING) and dog for $100 and IT thought it was worth it.
